Elizabeth Ziemba

President

With a diverse background in public health, law, and business, Elizabeth brings a distinctive set of skills and experience to independent consulting projects, training, assessments, and accreditations while serving clients in her role as President of Medical Tourism Training.

For the past twenty years, Ms. Ziemba has worked on a variety of projects in the both the public and private health care sectors conducting research, business analysis, and formulating and implementing results-oriented, practical solutions. Clients have included the World Health Organization, private and
public hospitals and other healthcare providers, hotels, governmental and nongovernmental organizations, and associations.

 

Clients are located around the world including Switzerland, Costa Rica, Korea, Colombia, the Philippines, Spain, Mexico, Lesotho, and the United States among other destinations.

 

Elizabeth’s work in the international health travel sector began in 2005, starting with a feasibility study for developing a continuing care retirement community for ex-pats in Costa Rica. From that launching point, she has provided consulting services focused on the types of infrastructure and services needed to be competitive will in the international health travel sector. Some of her projects include (1) project manager for developing the national medical tourism road map for the Philippines; (2) market research for the government of Poland; (3) national marketing plan in medical tourism for Colombia; (4) research associate for the strategic plan in medical tourism for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and (5) public-private partnerships for neglected diseases for WHO and EU; and more.

 

Elizabeth has developed and delivers consulting assignments, workshops, and training sessions on a variety of health travel subjects including topics related to cluster development; patient experience; accreditation; and more. Her legal background benefits clients in creating due diligence and other systems and processes essential to protect clients and patients.

 

She has developed a series of workshops and articles focused on forming, developing, improving, and growing health travel clusters for economic growth. These workshops have been given in several countries including Colombia, Croatia, and Bosnia. Elizabeth delivers virtual and on-site training for governments, hospitals, clinics, associations, and other groups on a wide variety of topics.

 

Her original research has been presented at numerous global conferences in destinations including Guilin, China; Kerala, India; Izmir & Istanbul, Turkey; Cuidad Juarez, Mexico; Montreal, Canada; Dubai, UAE; London, UK; Madrid, Spain; Zagreb, Opatija & Crikvenica, Croatia; Athens, Greece; Berlin, Germany; Amman, Jordan; Cordoba, Argentina; Cali, Bogota, & Bucaramanga, Colombia; Lublin, Poland; Panama City, Panama; and Washington, DC, USA.

 

Leveraging her academic achievements including a law degree (Juris Doctorate) from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, and a Master of Science degree in International Public Health (MPH) from the Boston University School of Public Health, Elizabeth combines education with extensive experience as a businessperson to create practical and results-oriented solutions for clients.
