			<content:encoded><![CDATA[In Medical Travel, Poor Client Care Is a No-No<BR/><BR/>Medical tourism is a client-centered niche market that requires high standards of customer care, according to Elizabeth Ziemba, president of Medical Tourism Training. Anyone involved in serving medical travel clients must anticipate their needs in order to deliver products and services that exceed expectations, said Ziemba, whose firm just added a customer service module to its course offerings. &#8220;Yesterday's skills and approaches won't meet the expectations of clients who are growing more sophisticated and demanding every day.<BR/><BR/>&#8220;Poor customer service – unanswered emails, ignored telephone messages and short-tempered staff – can lose business faster than a shark can clear a swimming pool,” Ziemba wrote in a recent article on the Medical Tourism Training.  Market research in all sectors, including health care, shows that one upset customer tells at least 11 other people, who in turn each tell another five people, according to Ziemba. &#8220;That is a total of 67 people saying negative things about one poor customer service event. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[January 11th and 12th, 2010, San Jose, Costa Rica:  In what may be the first program of its kind, the staff at the Ramada Plaza Herradura completed the two day training program, &#8220;Caring for the Medical Tourist”, created and delivered by Medical Tourism Training, in collaboration with Stackpole &amp; Associates.<BR/><BR/>More than 250 members of the hotel staff participated in the training which was conducted in Spanish by our colleague, Cindy Cordova.
